What is "Asset Based Finance"?
Should you wish to purchase new equipment
or refinance existing assets to produce capital to help your business
develop, then this is one solution available for you. Asset Finance
is simply a means of purchasing new equipment or re-financing existing
assets, by utilising existing "assets". This "asset" can take the
form of buildings, machinery etc. The "asset", subject to a proven
resale value and is uniquely identifiable, (e.g. serial number) is
sold to a company who then can re-hire the "asset" to the company.
At the end of the term the company either return the "asset", or continue
to use the "asset" for an annual payment.
The hire period is usually two to five years.
The companies that provide "Asset Based Finance" can alter the interest
rates to suit the company. When the company is busy they can increase
the payment, and when things are slack, reduce the rate.
